postnuke alternatives

Hello,

Before you go for another hardware upgrade, I would advise you to try using another CMS for your site. The amount of traffic you get is impressive, but I believe a well-optimized script can handle it. The Post Nuke CMS is not very well suited for large sites.

A good solution may be Movable Type, as it does not need to access the database for every hit -- the pages are generated once upon publishing, after that, static HTML content is served. This will certainly make it easier for the MySQL service. You can try it out for free.

Other optioins are Drupal, Typo3, ezPublish or even Word Press.
